Homag Omlat spindle received with a low drawbar retention force.
Customer originally just sent the spindle in for the drawbar repair, but on further inspection when stripping down the spindle it was found that the mating faces had corroded due to coolant ingress over time, which had been sealed on a previous repair.
We have to reclaim all the mating faces, rework and replace the precision bearings to bring the spindle back to specification.
